Road Station Nose (Kuri no Sato)
Roadside Station Nose (Kuri-no-Sato) sits at the gateway to Nose Town along National Route 173. Nearby are attractions such as Nose no Sato and hands-on farm experiences, making it a good base to enjoy Nose’s rich natural environment for a full day. The entrance features a chestnut (kuri) objet that stands out. By public transport, take the Nose Electric Railway Nissei Line to Yamashita Station, then the Hankyu Bus and get off at Hirano-guchi (stop is right nearby). The station is not very large—parking for 38 vehicles (6 large / 30 standard / 2 accessible)—but it offers a restaurant, local specialty corner, and direct sales area, focusing on Nose’s local produce. The restaurant serves dishes like chestnut rice, bean rice, bara-zushi, seasonal “Nose Shiki Bento,” Hidamari Gozen, ‘Obachan’ curry, and Nose udon. It’s popular for fresh vegetables, and by afternoon there are often very few vegetables left, so visiting in the morning is recommended.
