Oizumi Ryokuchi Park
Ōizumi Ryokuchi is a vast green park with an area of about 97 hectares and roughly 320,000 trees across about 200 species. It offers many ways to enjoy nature: flowerbeds, Ōizumi Pond, and large lawns in the relaxation zone; plus sports facilities such as baseball fields and tennis courts. There are also popular family features like playground areas and BBQ plazas. One unique attraction is the Cycle Doronko Plaza, a BMX-specific motocross-style course with hills and valleys where you can ride a bicycle; personal use is generally free, but note that competition bicycles are not rented on site. BBQ areas are very popular, including options for “hands-free” BBQ. Reservations typically open online one month before the intended use date. In addition, there are eight outdoor stove plots (yagairo) southeast of the large lawn where you can enjoy BBQ or day camping (fees may apply). The nearest station is Shin-Kanaoka Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line. For drivers, the park has about 787 parking spaces, with fees that differ between weekdays and weekends/holidays.
