Hamadera Park
Hamadera Park is a large park featuring a rose garden, swimming pool, and a traffic-themed playground. It is very accessible: about a 3-minute walk from Nankai Main Line Hamadera-koen Station. By car, it is close to the Hanshin Expressway Hamadera or Takaishi exits, and has 960 parking spaces. Parking fees are 390 yen per 60 minutes, with a daily maximum of 1,130 yen. Enjoyment varies by facility. The rose garden displays about 6,500 rose bushes across 300 varieties, and is open from March 16 to December 15 (the “Machinokei” area is open year-round), 10:00–17:00. The traffic playground offers rides such as a children’s train (one-way: adults 300 yen / children 150 yen) and go-karts (300 yen), with ride hours 10:00–17:00. Hamadera Park also offers BBQ options: a free area (no equipment) and a paid area (with equipment). Because the park is large, rental bicycles are also popular.
