EKI MARCHÉ Shin-Osaka
Eki Marche Shin-Osaka is a commercial facility inside JR Shin-Osaka Station, located within the conventional-line ticket gates (paid area). It opened in March 2015 and is said to be one of the largest station-inside retail areas (within ticket gates) in Japan. It currently has 36 shops and is popular as a new Shin-Osaka spot. Eki Marche Shin-Osaka is known as the third “Eki Marche” after those in Takarazuka and Osaka, and was designed under the concept “Drop in quickly and feel a small satisfaction in 15 minutes.” In Phase 1, 26 shops opened, including long-established Kansai-related stores, company antenna shops, and ATMs; among them, 7 were new brands and 11 were first-ever station-in locations. Rest spaces and full adoption of transport e-money such as ICOCA make shopping comfortable. Phase 2 opened on October 29 of the same year, and Phase 3 opened on December 21. Visitors entering with a platform ticket receive a 120-yen shopping voucher usable at Eki Marche.
