Dojima Avanza Entrance Porch
The Dojima Avanza Entrance Porch is an arch/portal preserved on the former site of the Mainichi Shimbun Osaka Headquarters. The original building’s entrance porch remains and has been kept as a monument. It is a fine stone structure located at the edge of Kitashinchi, very close to multiple stations: about 2 minutes on foot from Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line Nishi-Umeda Station, 3 minutes from JR Tozai Line Kitashinchi Station, and 5 minutes from Hanshin Osaka-Umeda Station. Facing Yotsubashi-suji, it stands out clearly. As a Taisho-period architectural remnant, it is worth seeing on its own, creating an interesting contrast with the modern office tower (B2F–23F) behind it, which contains bookstores, restaurants, and variety shops. If you only want to see the porch, it can be viewed anytime, 24/7, year-round; visiting at different times of day gives a different impression.
