Myoken Mountain
Nose Myokenzan is a 660 m mountain spanning Kawanishi City (Hyogo) and Toyono District (Toyono Town and Nose Town) in Osaka. At the summit is a Nichiren-sect temple and Myoken sanctuary: “Murōzan Shinnyoji Keigai (Buddhist Hall) Nose Myokenzan” (formal place name). By public transport, take Hankyu Takarazuka Line to Kawanishi-Noseguchi Station, transfer to Nose Electric Railway, get off at Myokenguchi Station, then take a bus or walk to the Myoken Cable boarding area, and ride the Myoken Forest Cable & Lift up the mountain. The cable car and lift provide seasonal scenery and are part of the attraction. Hiking is also possible and popular. Another popular feature is the Myoken BBQ Terrace, where you can enjoy BBQ without bringing your own gear. “Myoken no Meisui,” a natural spring water, can be used for free at the Myoken Forest Fureai Plaza. There is also a café terrace where you can take a break.
