Fujita Memorial Garden
The Former Fujita Residence Garden (Fujita Estate Ruins Park) is a public garden located in Sakuranomiya Park, and is extremely convenient to access: 1 minute on foot from JR Tozai Line Osaka-jo Kitazume Station, 7 minutes from Keihan Kyobashi Station, 5 minutes from Osaka Metro Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line Kyobashi Station, and 7 minutes from Osaka Business Park Station. It was originally the garden of Fujita Denzaburo, a leading Kansai industrialist, and is now open to the public as a park—free of charge. It is a strolling-style (kaiyū-shiki) garden and is designated a scenic spot by Osaka City. In spring it is well known for plum blossoms, peach blossoms, and cherry blossoms, and the intentionally created undulating terrain is also worth seeing. The gate resembles a temple gate; passing through it feels like the start of a special garden experience. With well-maintained lawns where children can run and a roofed rest area, it serves as a relaxing place not only for tourists but also for locals and people working around Kyobashi. During cherry-blossom season, it becomes especially crowded.
