Nakanoshima BANKS
Nakanoshima Banks is a riverside promenade along the Dojima River. It was developed in 2009 in conjunction with the Keihan Nakanoshima Line project, under the concept of creating a new lively riverside space between Dojima Bridge and the south side area near Tamae Bridge. At the entrance to the promenade there is a gate; beyond it is a mixed-use complex with restaurants and shops such as bars, cafés & diners, and restaurants & wedding venues. Because operating hours vary by tenant, checking in advance is recommended. In the “Banks Jiyu Hiroba” event space, activities such as morning vegetable markets, flea markets, and summer festivals are held. It’s a great place for walking or a stroll, with scenery that changes by season and time of day. Weddings are also possible, and a chapel floating over the water is especially popular. It is directly connected to Keihan Nakanoshima Line Nakanoshima Station, and is often used by nearby office workers during lunch breaks. There is no dedicated parking, so drivers need to use nearby paid parking lots.
