Tourist Information Center Osaka
The Osaka Tourist Information Center is located on the 1st floor of JR Osaka Station, in front of the Central Ticket Gate. It provides a wide range of Osaka sightseeing information. Visitors can pick up maps and brochures, ask about recommended attractions, hotels, and places to eat, and get guidance on convenient sightseeing passes and discount tickets. As it sits in Umeda—Osaka’s major transportation hub with many nearby hotels and attractions—it is widely used by both Japanese and international tourists. Supported languages include Japanese and English, and it also offers Chinese-language support (the original description notes Chinese and English). You can ask not only about the Umeda area but also about other Osaka areas such as Namba and Tennoji. The surrounding zone is part of the “Travel Service Center Osaka Omotenashi Station,” which includes luggage storage, travel-agency counters, and railway information desks—making it an especially convenient area for travelers. It is directly connected to JR Osaka Station and is also easily accessible from the various Umeda, Higashi-Umeda, and Nishi-Umeda stations.
