River station Hachiken'ya

Kawa no Eki Hachikenya is a facility where the 1st floor is a restaurant area, and the basement level (B1) contains an information counter for sightseeing boats as well as a ticketing and waiting area for cruises. Osaka Suijō Bus (water bus), sightseeing cruise boats, and traditional yakatabune houseboats depart and arrive here, and up to three boats can dock at the same time. Because of this, it is a popular spot for tourists using water buses and cruises to explore Osaka. It is in a very convenient location—about a 2-minute walk from Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line Tenmabashi Station and Keihan Main Line Tenmabashi Station. Despite the name, it is not a roadside station but a “river station,” located along the Okawa River. The building has a glass-walled design, and the 1st floor—home to stylish restaurants and cafes—is lively every day with tourists and people stopping by after work. The surrounding area is also well maintained: along the Tenjinbashi side there are promenades, cherry tree-lined paths, rest areas, and event spaces. Along the riverside walkway, a symbolic tree created in collaboration with DREAMS COME TRUE has also been planted as part of the Nakanoshima Nigiwai no Mori project, making it a place where even a simple stroll is enjoyable.
