Rinku Park (Marble Beach)
Rinku Park is a seaside park of about 60 hectares spanning Izumisano City and Tajiri Town in Osaka Prefecture. From the park, you can watch airplanes taking off and landing at Kansai International Airport, as well as see the Kansai Airport Connection Bridge. On clear days, you can also view the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and Awaji Island in the distance. In recent years, local events such as the Rinku Relay Marathon, Rinku fireworks, cosplay events, and video/film shoots have been held here. The park also features facilities such as Marble Beach, with pine trees and white rounded stones, and a rock garden where visitors can enjoy seasonal flowers. It is also known for being Japan’s first park designed with universal design principles. In April 2020, the opening of Sennan Rinku Park further evolved the area into a major leisure hub. Among the highlights is the Marble Beach area of Rinku Park: a roughly 900-meter-long shore backed by a blue pine grove, known as a “Lovers’ Sanctuary” and selected among Japan’s Top 100 Sunsets. A large heart-shaped monument has been installed, making it a popular photo spot.
