Osaka Suijyo Bus Aqua-Liner

The Aqua-Liner is a water-bus style sightseeing boat that cruises along the Okawa River in central Osaka, operated by Osaka Suijo Bus Co., Ltd. The vessel features large windows and a glass ceiling, allowing passengers to enjoy cityscapes and even the undersides of bridges. Because the Okawa is close to the sea and its water level changes with the tide, the boat is designed so its ceiling height can be lowered by about 30 cm, enabling it to safely pass under low bridges even at high tide. The standard route is the approx. 55-minute “Osaka Castle & Nakanoshima Loop,” which returns to the departure pier. Onboard announcements are provided in Japanese and English. There are four boarding locations: Osaka Castle Pier along the Neyagawa River, Yodoyabashi Pier convenient for Nakanoshima sightseeing, Hachikenyahama Pier near Tenmabashi, and the limited-service OAP Pier. In spring, passengers can enjoy cherry blossoms along the riversides near the Mint, the Sakuranomiya area, and around Osaka Castle. Drinks (including alcohol) and snacks are sold onboard, so you can enjoy refreshments while sightseeing.
