SEGA VR AREA ABENO

SEGA VR AREA ABENO was a VR attraction facility operated by Sega Entertainment, opened in August 2017 inside “SEGA Abeno Q’s Mall.” It was the company’s second such facility following the one opened in Akihabara in June. A key attraction was “ZERO LATENCY VR,” a large free-roam VR experience in a spacious 225㎡ area, developed by Australia’s Zero Latency. It was introduced to Kansai for the first time here. Using head-mounted displays, participants can walk freely inside a virtual world, and groups of up to six can play together. The first featured content was “ZOMBIE SURVIVAL,” where players must fend off zombies approaching from all directions in a city overrun by zombies and complete missions such as rescuing residents. Play time is 30 minutes, with 1 to 6 players.
