Osaka Kizu Market
Kizu Wholesale Market is a privately operated wholesale market in Naniwa Ward, Osaka, commonly called “Kizu Ichiba.” It is operated by Osaka Kizu Market Co., Ltd., a consolidated subsidiary of Gourmet Kineya. It is very conveniently located—about a 3-minute walk from Exit 1 of Daikokuchō Station on both the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line and Yotsubashi Line. For drivers, there is also ample parking: about 60 spaces in a flat lot and about 230 spaces in a multilevel lot. With a history of over 300 years, it has supported Osaka citizens’ lives as part of the “kitchen of Osaka.” General visitors are also allowed, and it can be enjoyed almost like a theme park. You can buy fish and foods delivered from various regions, and there are many photo spots for social-media-style pictures. On the 2nd and 4th Saturdays each month, a morning market is held with various events. The market area is divided into three sections: the North Building, the South Building, and the area under the Hanshin Expressway viaduct.
