Takatsuki City Hall Viewing Platform

Takatsuki City Hall Observation Floor is a viewpoint on the rooftop of the Takatsuki City General Center. It is about a 7–8 minute walk from JR Tōkaidō Main Line (Kyoto Line) Takatsuki Station and Hankyu Kyoto Line Takatsuki-shi Station. The Takatsuki City General Center is an annex of City Hall, but it stays open longer and is free to enter until 20:00. From the 64-meter-high observation floor, you can see not only Takatsuki City but also Hirakata Park across the Yodo River, central Osaka to the south including Abeno Harukas, and even Mt. Ikoma in the distance. The view is great, but drafts can come through gaps, so be sure to dress warmly in winter. One floor below, on the 15th floor, there is an observation restaurant floor with two tenants: the Japanese restaurant “Ninnin Takatsuki” and the Chinese restaurant “Chūka Saikan Tōri Takatsuki,” both open until 22:00. If you want to relax and enjoy the night view while dining, using the observation restaurants could be a nice option.
