Yoshimoto Manzai Theater
Yoshimoto Manzai Theater is located about a 3-minute walk from Namba Station on various lines, on the 5th floor of a building across from Namba Grand Kagetsu, where you can watch Yoshimoto’s famous Shin-kigeki comedy shows. Formerly known as Waha Hall and 5up Yoshimoto, it was renovated in 2014 and renamed to its current title. The theater mainly features rising young comedians with around 10 years of experience who belong to the Yoshimoto Agency, and comedy live shows such as manzai and skits are held every day. The venue seats around 300 people. Highlights include stages like “Kakeru (翔) LIVE,” where you can enjoy up-and-coming acts not yet widely seen on TV, and “kiwami 極 LIVE,” which also features mid-career comedians. In addition, short-format comedy-only shows and solo live performances by comedians who appear on TV are also held. Ticket prices start in the 1,000-yen range, and same-day tickets are available, making it easy to drop in for a comedy show. The theater also sells original comedian merchandise inside.
