The selection includes knives from Osaka/Sakai as well as other famous Japanese blade-making areas such as Seki (Gifu) and Miki (Hyogo). There is a workshop in the back, and if your timing is right you may be able to watch an artisan sharpening knives up close. Japanese-made knives are highly popular overseas, so the shop attracts many international visitors. Because the owner is Canadian, all staff can assist in English; there are also staff who can support languages such as Chinese, French, and Danish, so foreign customers can shop with confidence.
