Mitsui Outlet Park Osaka Tsurumi
Mitsui Outlet Park Osaka Tsurumi is an outlet mall operated by Mitsui Fudosan. It opened in March 1995 in Tsurumi Ward, Osaka, as the first outlet in the Mitsui group. Initially named “Tsurumi Hanaport Blossom,” it was renamed when the operator unified outlet facility names in April 2008 to the “Mitsui Outlet Park + area name” format to strengthen brand power. The facility’s exterior, built with a motif of the “Queen of the Night” flower, is distinctive, and frequent events and live performances by street performers and musicians give it a theme-park-like atmosphere. The five-story complex carries a wide range from international brands to local brands and even new brands making their first appearance in Japan. The 1st and 2nd floors function as a wholesale flower market, while the 3rd to 5th floors house fashion areas along with a gourmet and food court. While outlet goods were once associated with leftovers or items with minor defects, today they are often products made specifically for outlet stores or premium brand items shipped directly from factories, allowing shoppers to buy at lower prices than standard market rates—one reason outlets remain highly popular.
