Illusion Museum

The Illusion Museum Genso Hakubutsukan is an amusement facility opened in June 2018 inside Osaka Castle Park, located on the basement floor of Miraiza Osaka Castle. Produced by magician MAGUS, a Merlin Award recipient, the museum showcases the history of magic from medieval Europe to Edo-period Japan. Visitors can enjoy optical illusion exhibits, hands-on trick experiences, and live illusion shows performed at close range. Admission includes access to exhibits, with optional tickets available for live performances.

  • Inside the Illusion Museum, there are experience areas where you can enjoy tricks that make it look like your body is floating, or optical illusions that make people appear gigantic or tiny as if they were inside a room. You can take photos there. After enjoying the Illusion Museum, you can eat at a restaurant inside MIRAIZA Osaka Castle, or enjoy “Samurai/Ninja Experiences” run by the Japan Sword-Fighting Arts Association.
