Yanmar Stadium Nagai

Yanmar Stadium Nagai is a five-story stadium located within Nagai Park, with a capacity of 50,000 spectators. The area is home to other sports facilities such as Nagai Pool and Nagai Ball Game Field, and it is also close to the Osaka Museum of Natural History. The stadium is about a 6-minute walk from Nagai Station on the Osaka Metro. It is known as the home stadium of Cerezo Osaka, and during the 2002 FIFA World Cup, Japan secured a place in the second round here. Its official name is Nagai Stadium (Nagai Track and Field Stadium), but it is operated under the nickname Yanmar Stadium Nagai due to a naming-rights agreement between the City of Osaka and Yanmar Co., Ltd. One of the most eye-catching features is its giant screen, measuring 9.3 meters high and 24.8 meters wide—one of the largest in Japan. In addition to soccer matches, it is used for international events such as the Osaka International Women’s Marathon and is equipped to broadcast simultaneously to 100 countries. It has also been used as a concert venue.
