Tennoji Park Entrance
Tenshiba is a park area with restaurants, a convenience store, a futsal court, and more, located just a short walk from Tennoji Station (various lines) and Kintetsu Osaka-Abenobashi Station. Its official name is the Tennoji Park Entrance Area. It received a Good Design Award in 2016 and is also affectionately known as “Tenshiba.” The large lawn plaza of about 7,000㎡ regularly hosts events and serves as an important place for community interaction, thanks to its flexible, multi-purpose use. Surrounding the lawn are restaurants and cafés, children’s play areas, and a dog run, including attractive spots such as “Sanchoku Ichiba Yottette,” which sells locally grown Osaka produce and processed foods. The site also includes facilities for international visitors, such as a guesthouse and a tourist information center. Nearby are landmarks like Abeno Harukas (Japan’s tallest skyscraper) and the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts, and access to Tennoji Zoo next door is also convenient.
