Hiroshima Port

Hiroshima Port spans a wide area from Hatsukaichi in the west to Kaita and Saka in Aki District to the east, but what is generally referred to as "Hiroshima Port" is the area around the Hiroshima Port Ujina Passenger Terminal (Prefectural Pier) near the "Hiroshima Port" streetcar stop. From the terminal, ferries depart for Etajima and Ninoshima, ferries to Matsuyama (Shikoku), the Super Jet to Matsuyama via Kure, and high-speed boats to Miyajima. The Super Jet connects Hiroshima Port and Matsuyama in as little as 68 minutes, making it possible to do a day trip from Hiroshima to Dogo Onsen and back. There is also the cruise ship "Ginga," which offers lunch or dinner cruises while enjoying Seto Inland Sea scenery and night views. While waiting to board, you can spend time at the terminal’s restaurants, souvenir shops, or manga café, or take a walk in nearby Hiroshima Minato Park. Note that large cruise ships dock at the Ujina Foreign Trade Wharf beside Ujina Hatoba Park, about a 20-minute walk from the passenger terminal, so be careful not to go to the wrong boarding area.
