Experience details
At 8:15 on the morning of August 6, 1945, an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, where many people lived. The atomic bomb produced radiation, heat rays, and shock waves that caused catastrophic damage to buildings and other structures and killed more than 100,000 people in a 10-square-kilometer area centered on the hypocenter.
Those who were fortunate enough to survive would long suffer from burns, radiation damage, and discrimination from others.
Why did an atomic bomb have to be dropped on the heads of the people of Hiroshima that day? What was the damage? The exposed steel frame of the A-bomb Dome and the exhibits at Peace Memorial Museum silently ask these questions. A visit here may not make you feel comfortable. But you will not regret the experience of this tour.
