Aki Hiroshima Busho-Tai

After 450 years, the warlords who once thrived in Aki Province have returned to Hiroshima Castle to share the charm of Hiroshima as a castle town. The Aki Hiroshima Busho-tai is led by Mori Motonari, the ruler of ten provinces in the Chugoku region, and six warlords in total are active around Hiroshima Castle’s main keep and Ninomaru. Sunday is recommended if you want to meet the Aki Hiroshima Busho-tai at Hiroshima Castle. Every Sunday, you can watch two passionate performances featuring swordplay and rock elements, held at 13:30 and 15:00. You can also take commemorative photos together, making your Hiroshima Castle sightseeing even more enjoyable. On Saturdays, the warlords casually parade around Hiroshima Castle. Participation members for both performances and parades vary by day, and they may also appear at outside events, so please check the website before your trip. To reach Hiroshima Castle, use the "Meipuru-pu" sightseeing loop bus that tours major Hiroshima City attractions, take the Lemon Route to "Hiroshima Castle (Gokoku Shrine-mae)," then walk about 6 minutes. Why not interact with the warlords at Hiroshima Castle, which still preserves traces of the past, and feel the atmosphere of the Sengoku period?
