Edion Stadium Hiroshima
EDION Stadium Hiroshima is the home stadium of Sanfrecce Hiroshima, a professional football club in Japan’s J.League. It has a capacity of about 35,000, making it one of the largest-capacity stadiums used for official J.League matches. From central Hiroshima, if you board the Astram Line at "Hondori Station," you can reach the nearest station, "Koiki Koen-mae Station," in about 37 minutes; the stadium is a 10-minute walk from there. Matches are held even in the rain, but the roof mainly covers only the area around the main stand, so if you want to avoid getting wet, consider seats in that section. In summer, the sun can be strong, so bringing a hat is recommended. On match days, Sanfrecce Hiroshima official goods are sold at the entrance and inside the venue. There are also food stalls serving Hiroshima specialties like Onomichi ramen, momiji manju, and oysters. At a shop called "Hiroshima Ekiben," you can even buy a "Sanfrecce Hiroshima officially approved bento."
