Setouchi Sealine

Setouchi Sea Line is a shipping company that departs from Hiroshima Port. By high-speed boat and ferry, you can travel not only to Miyajima but also to Etajima and Kure. With a one-day unlimited ride pass, you can efficiently visit places such as the World Cultural Heritage site "Miyajima," "Miyaji Marine," Etajima’s "Former Naval Academy," and Kure’s "Yamato Museum" and "Tetsu no Kujira-kan" (Iron Whale Museum). There are other options for high-speed boats from Hiroshima to Miyajima, including JR West Miyajima Ferry and Miyajima Matsudai Kisen, but Setouchi Sea Line tends to serve relatively affluent tourists because it routes via the Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima. Cruising gracefully over the Setouchi Sea is popular with a wide range of ages. There is also a 90-minute sunset cruise where you can enjoy watching the sun sink below the horizon. Onboard, there is a shop, and you can cruise while enjoying food and drinks. To get to Setouchi Sea Line’s Hiroshima Port boarding point, it is a 7-minute walk from Hiroshima Port Station. Parking is also available: the first hour is free, and 200 yen is added for each additional hour.
