Kudara Temple Remains (Kudaraji Temple Remains Park)

Explore the remains of the Kudaraji Temple, built approximately 1250 years ago with superb techniques. Designated as a National Special Historic Site, the ruins of the temple rival the ruins of Osaka Castle within Osaka Prefecture.

Kudarao Shrine

The shrine is dedicated to the descendants of the Kudara (Baekje) royal family. Within its grounds lies a quiet forest and a hilltop offering views over the ruins of Kudara Temple, where you can feel the solemn ancient history.

Kudarao Shrine: Prayer experience

Experience a series of authentic prayers at the worship hall, performed by the shrine priest, including ritual prayer recital, performing of purification rites, and offering of sacred branches. Following the prayer, you will be offered sacred sake, and receive an ema votive plaque, sugar, sacred sake sweets, a pamphlet with the history of the shrine, and an amulet.

Falconry experience

Experience a display and try your hand at falconry! See the majestic birds of prey in flight, and observe feeding demonstrations using lures up close. After the show, commemorative photographs will make this an unforgettable experience. Note: The plan without the falconer show does not include this experience.

・Prayer services are conducted in the main hall. All visitors must remove their shoes and wear socks at all times.
・Please refrain from taking photographs from the front within the worship hall and from taking photographs during prayers.
・The prayer will be for safe travels.
・The reading of names and addresses for prayers will be limited to the name of the group representative and their residential address only.
・The distribution of the ema votive tablets, sugar, sacred sake sweets, and a pamphlet with the history of the shrine will be limited to one item per group. Only the amulets will be distributed according to the number of worshippers present.
・This product has two options: one that includes a falconer show viewing and one that does not.
・Only guests aged 10 years or older may hold a hawk on their arm.
・The content may be subject to change on the day depending on the hawk's condition and circumstances.
