JR West Miyajima Ferry is a ferry that connects Honshu and Miyajima in about 10 minutes. The fare is reasonable at 180 yen one-way for adults and 90 yen one-way for children. A popular option is the "Great Torii Route," which passes near the large torii gate—an iconic symbol of Itsukushima Shrine—at the same fare.
The ferries in service are the "Nanaura-maru," "Miyajima-maru," and "Misen-maru," each with a capacity of 800 passengers. All have barrier-free seating and are designed with safety in mind.
