Shioya Natural Hot Spring Hon no Yu Rakurakuen
Shioya Natural Hot Spring Honoyu Rakurakuen is a relaxing hot spring facility where visitors can enjoy spacious open-air baths and Korean-style saunas. Located in a residential area about a 5-minute walk south from Rakurakuen Station on the Hiroshima Electric Railway Miyajima Line, the facility is known for its diverse bathing options. The open-air bath area features eight types of baths, including free-flowing natural hot spring source baths, rock baths, carbonated baths, silk baths, and reclining baths, along with a wooden deck for relaxation. Indoors, there are four types of baths such as plain hot water, jet baths, and lukewarm baths, as well as a sauna and cold bath. The hot spring water is drawn from a depth of 1,100 meters from a granite layer and is a chloride spring rich in radon, sodium, calcium, and other minerals. Known as a "hot spring that warms you to the core," it is highly regarded for its heat-retaining properties. The facility also features the Korean-style jjimjilbang sauna "Hanjung-dong," offering five types of heated stone rooms made with tourmaline, medicinal gemstones, agate, and rock salt. After warming up and sweating comfortably, guests can relax in the well-equipped rest areas. The jjimjilbang requires special clothing and is mixed-gender, making it popular with couples and families.
