Hotel Green Plaza Joetsu

Hotel Green Plaza Joetsu is a resort hotel in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, directly connected to Joetsu Kokusai Ski Resort. It offers a variety of facilities—guest rooms, a large bath with its own hot-spring source, restaurants, and relaxation facilities—so families and friends can enjoy it regardless of group type. Kabanosawa Onsen is gentle on the skin; the main building has a rock-built open-air bath, sauna, cold bath, and jacuzzi for relaxed unwinding. In winter season, day-use bathing is also offered, so after a casual Shinkansen ski trip you can wash off and recover. In winter you can enjoy skiing and playing in the snow right in front, and you don’t need to bring gear—rentals are available so you can visit hands-free. Access is also excellent: about 80 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo, and about 20 minutes by car from Kan-etsu Expressway “Shiozawa-Ishiuchi IC” (some sources note about 10 minutes depending on route).
