Otani Sanso

Otani Sanso is a relaxing ryokan nestled at the foot of the mountains of Nagato Yumoto Onsen, a hot spring that first opened in 1427 during the Muromachi period. Standing beside the Otozure River, it’s a place to unwind while feeling the colors and changes of the four seasons. Guest rooms are offered in four types, and in rooms with private open-air baths, you can enjoy the free-flowing hot spring source right in your room. The Japanese-style rooms can accommodate up to seven guests, making them a great choice for families or group trips. There are also deluxe rooms with jacuzzis. The Japanese-style twin rooms combine the calm atmosphere of tatami with the comfort of beds for sleeping, and the beds use high-quality Simmons mattresses. The Western-style rooms are spacious and easy to use, with twin beds. The special suite offers a quiet, elegant space for distinguished stays. Access to Otani Sanso: by public transportation, take the free shuttle from JR Mine Line “Nagato-Yumoto Station” (about 5 minutes). Be sure to inform the ryokan of your arrival time in advance. There is also a taxi-shuttle plan from JR Sanyo Shinkansen “Shin-Yamaguchi Station” (about 1 hour 15 minutes). By air, a taxi-shuttle plan from Yamaguchi Ube Airport takes about 1 hour 15 minutes.
