Kawasaki Good Times World
Kawasaki World is a corporate museum of the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Group with more than 20 years of history, located inside the Kobe Maritime Museum in Chuo Ward, Kobe City. Through exhibits you can “see” and “touch,” it offers a fun way to learn about Kawasaki’s technologies and to appreciate the value of manufacturing, featuring ships, aircraft, motorcycles, robots, and more. Access is about a 15-minute walk from JR Sanyo Main Line / Hanshin Railway Motomachi Station, or about a 10-minute walk from Minato-Motomachi Station on the Kobe Municipal Subway Kaigan Line. Many real, full-scale exhibits are on display, including the 0 Series Shinkansen known for its “dango-nose” front, historic Kawasaki machines, and race vehicles—irresistible for vehicle enthusiasts. Hands-on attractions such as the RidEX riding simulator that lets you experience a circuit run, and a flight simulator that recreates takeoffs and landings at Kobe Airport, are especially popular with children. The museum shop also offers Kawasaki-original goods available only here, making souvenir shopping part of the fun.
