Central Forest Park

Chuo Shinrin Park is a forest park located right next to Hiroshima Airport. It is commonly called Chuo Shinrin Park, but its official name is Hiroshima Prefectural Chuo Shinrin Park, and it is operated by Hiroshima Prefecture. Because you can watch airplanes taking off and landing, it is extremely popular with children. In addition to hiking, a ground golf course, and barbecue areas, it has many playground structures and even an athletic course. At the cycling course, you can also rent and ride bicycles. Not only regular bicycles, but also fun bicycles featuring unusual models from around the world are available. The Japanese garden Sankeien is also here, making it a park loved by a wide range of ages, including children. Inside the park there is also a cafeteria, and it even offers a fireplace pizza-baking experience. With a vast area of 270 hectares, you can enjoy it to the fullest. Of course, vending machines and gazebos are scattered throughout, so families with small children can feel at ease. To get to Chuo Shinrin Park, it is a 10-minute drive from Hongo IC. By bus, if you take a bus bound for Hiroshima Airport, the park is located right beside the airport.
