Prince Snow Resort Myoko Suginohara
Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort is a Niigata ski area operated by Prince Hotels, like Naeba Ski Resort. Its standout feature is a long, wide slope with a maximum run length of 8.5 km. There are 17 courses, about 80% of which are for beginners and intermediates. With large detour routes, it’s unusual for a ski resort in that even beginners can go up to the summit and return. The views from the lifts are also spectacular: below you spreads the natural Lake Nojiri, and in the distance are the mountains of northern Shinano. There is also a large-scale snow park where anyone can enjoy snow activities. Around the resort are 10 restaurants offering a variety of meals such as Western food, katsudon, ramen, and kebabs. Access: about 10 minutes by car from Joshinetsu Expressway “Myoko-Kogen I.C.”, and about 15 minutes from Myoko-Kogen Station. Parking is free, so going by snow-prepared car or rental car is a good option.
