Hotel Nikko Niigata

Hotel Nikko Niigata is attached to Toki Messe (Niigata Convention Center), and the hotel tower, Bandai-jima Building, is the tallest on the Sea of Japan side. Guest rooms are on the 22nd floor and above, offering panoramic views of Niigata City, the Sea of Japan, and Sado Island. The hotel’s design is based on Scandinavian design and is inspired by the deck of a luxury passenger ship. At breakfast, the hotel focuses on Niigata ingredients, offering about 30 menu items such as Shiozawa-grown Minamiuonuma Koshihikari rice, Tochio abura-age, and grilled fish. On the 31st floor is the “Befco Bakauke Observatory,” where the city lights reflecting on the Shinano River create a stunning view; the scenery is regarded as among the best on the Sea of Japan side and has been selected for “100 Best Night Views.” Five room types are offered, accommodating everyone from solo travelers to families, with amenities like free Wi-Fi and a choice of two pillows for comfort. The hotel is also convenient as a base for Niigata sightseeing: about 5 minutes by car to Niigata Station and a 7-minute walk to the Sado Kisen ferry terminal.
