Roadside Station Hagi Sea Mart

Roadside Station Hagi Seimart is a “fresh fish market right in front of the sea,” operated by local producers from Hagi, including the fisheries cooperative. Because it is directly connected to the fishing port, there are essentially no transport costs, which is why you can enjoy seasonal flavors that are fresh and reasonably priced. The atmosphere, with extensive use of cedar wood, also evokes the feeling of a public market. Alongside fish shops, there are three always-popular eateries where you can enjoy local seafood on the spot. Shops and tenants include: Hagiuo, Sankyo Senshoku, Ebisuya, Fresh Fish Section, Murata Kamaboko, Otsuchi Shoten, Imachi Kaisan, Sakuraya, Nikuya no Ando, Produce Section, Horoyoi-tei, Hama Ryori Gangang, Restaurant Raihagi, Restaurant Ishintei, and Hisamitsu Seika. Bringing a cooler box is recommended. Access to Roadside Station Hagi Seimart: by public transportation, reach “Higashi-Hagi Station” via Bocho bus from JR Sanyo Shinkansen “Shin-Yamaguchi Station” (90 minutes), or the JR Super Hagi service (70 minutes), or JR bus routes (about 33 minutes + 80 minutes with a transfer). From Higashi-Hagi Station, take the loop bus “Ma-ru Bus” East Route and get off at “Michi-no-Eki Hagi Seimart.”
