Hiroshima Miyoshi Winery
Hiroshima Miyoshi Winery is located in Miyoshi City in northern Hiroshima Prefecture. At its own vineyard it grows wine-suitable grapes such as Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Merlot; through contract farmers it grows varieties like Chardonnay and the Japanese grape "Koshushi." You can tour the production line and wine cellar for free, and there is also a free tasting corner where you can sample items such as six types of wine. If you want to try more, use the paid tasting corner, which may include the award-winning 100% Miyoshi-grown "TOMOÉ" series. For lunch, consider the barbecue garden, where you can enjoy Hiroshima wagyu paired with red wine. If you prefer something lighter, the cafe offers a soft-serve ice cream made with Miyoshi’s specialty "Pione" grapes. After eating, stop by the product shop to buy local specialties from the Miyoshi area.
