Kusado Inari Shrine

Kusado Inari Shrine is an Inari shrine in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. The enshrined deities are Ukanomitama-no-Kami, Omononushi-no-Kami, and Ukemochi-no-Kami, and it is the shrine in Fukuyama with the highest number of worshippers. More than 400,000 people visit to pray each year. During busy periods, the Ashida River riverside is used as a free parking area. From the main hall, you can enjoy a sweeping view over central Fukuyama City. The vermilion main sanctuary built on a cliff stands out even from far away, giving it a strong presence. It is said to bring blessings such as bountiful harvests, prosperity in business, household safety, traffic safety, and protection from misfortune, and its omikuji fortunes include an extra-special "Daidai-kichi" above "Daikichi," making it popular with people of many ages. Every year, on the second Saturday and Sunday of May, the U no Daishin Festival is held, and during the Konkon Parade, children join the procession wearing fox masks. With many stalls lined up and a lottery drawing held, the festival becomes very lively. Of course, you can also receive goshuin stamps at any time. There is also a Kusado Hachiman Shrine goshuin available only in September. However, be careful, as it is available only until 16:00. To get to Kusado Inari Shrine, it is a 10-minute drive from Fukuyama Station.
