Moomin Valley Park
Moominvalley Park is an attraction located within Metsä, a suburban leisure complex. Metsä refers to both a shopping area themed around Nordic lifestyle and Moominvalley Park, but it is commonly known simply as Moominvalley Park. Moomin theme parks previously existed only in Finland, so this overseas expansion has attracted attention. “Metsä” means “forest” in Finnish. The site, covering about 187,000 square meters and surrounding Lake Miyazawa, enhances the Nordic atmosphere and creates a setting where it feels like the Moomins could appear at any moment. Visitors can immerse themselves in the Moomin world through shows, original artwork, the Moomin House, the Bathing Hut, and Snufkin’s tent. Moomin merchandise and Moomin-inspired menu items are also deeply satisfying for fans. Access to Moominvalley Park is by bus from Seibu Ikebukuro Line Hanno Station or JR Hachiko Line Higashi-Hanno Station, taking a little over 10 minutes. It is a new sightseeing spot where you can enjoy a full day together with Metsä.
