Flower Festival Commemorative Park
Hana Festa Memorial Park is a rose-and-flower theme park featuring one of the world’s largest rose gardens. Two vast areas—“World Rose Garden” and “Rose Theme Garden”—are planted with almost all of the world’s top-level variety counts. Visitors can enjoy a wide range, from original species and old roses to the latest domestic and international varieties. In spring and autumn, Rose Festivals are held, where you can enjoy gorgeous, fragrant roses along with events such as classical concerts by an official orchestra and rose-and-fireworks programs. From the observation tower, you can take in sweeping views of seasonal flowers and greenery across the park. The Flower Museum hosts special exhibitions, and the Earth Flower Dome (large greenhouse) allows leisurely viewing of seasonal flowers and trees year-round. The park is also known as a fall foliage spot and is selected among the Hida–Mino Autumn Leaves 33. Every autumn, the Gifu International Rose Contest is held, selecting roses well adapted to Japan’s climate and noted for strong disease resistance.
