ISE Sea Paradise
Ise Meotoiwa Fureai Aquarium (Ise Sea Paradise) is an aquarium located right in front of the Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks), themed around getting up close to marine animals. Its convenient access is also a key reason for its popularity: take a Mie Kotsu route bus from either "Ise-shi Station" or "Toba Station," get off at "Meotoiwa Higashiguchi / Ise Sea Paradise Mae," and it’s about a one-minute walk. What makes Ise Sea Paradise different from other aquariums is the sense of closeness that defines its concept. During interactive shows, you can not only touch a large sea lion with an impressive body length of around 3 meters, but you may also see smaller spotted seals freely wandering around the facility. You can even touch seahorses swimming inside a tank. If you get a little hungry, it’s recommended to head to "Meoto Yokocho," a street directly connected to Ise Sea Paradise. Around 20 restaurants and souvenir shops line the street, so you can stop in for lunch at the Ise specialty udon shop "Mendokoro Iseya," or, if you want to keep making memories, relax with a drink at "Meoto Iwa Cafe" and try the activity of making your own goshuincho (temple/shrine stamp book).
