Kirin Breweries Kobe Plant

The Kirin Brewery Kobe Factory is a manufacturing plant operated by Kirin Brewery Company, Limited, located in Kita Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, and in operation since 1997. It is known for producing beers such as “Ichiban Shibori” and “Kirin Lager Beer.” A popular attraction is the brewery tour titled the “Kirin Ichiban Shibori: Discover the Secrets of Great Taste Tour,” where visitors can learn about Kirin’s carefully crafted brewing process and fully enjoy the appeal of beer. The tour is open not only to groups but also to individual visitors. For access, it is convenient to use the free shuttle bus (nicknamed the “Lager Bus”) from Sanda Station (Kobe Electric Railway / JR Takarazuka Line) or Flower Town Station (Kobe Electric Railway). After the tour, you can sample fresh beer and soft drinks. The on-site “Beer Restaurant on the Hill” offers dishes made with local ingredients along with seven types of beer, including “Ichiban Shibori Premium” and “Kirin Braumeister.” Special family-friendly tours and biotope tours introducing Kirin’s environmental initiatives are also held, making it a popular destination you can visit again and again without getting bored.
