Kagura Tōji Monzen Village

Kagura Monzen Toji Mura is a facility in the mountains of Aki that recreates the nostalgic atmosphere of an old-fashioned hot spring town. At the natural radon hot spring "Iwatoya," you can enjoy day-use bathing as well as overnight stays. There are many dining options featuring local cuisine and regional specialties. While relaxing and healing fatigue in the hot springs and restaurants, you can also enjoy plenty of entertainment. At "Kamikura-za," you can watch traditional variety performances in period ambiance. The Kagura Experience Center "Waraku" offers many hands-on activities for both adults and children. At the "Kenji Kawaguchi Art Museum," you can enjoy beautifully painted works by the late artist Kenji Kawaguchi, with a focus on landscapes. Access: by car, about 7 minutes from Takata IC on the Chugoku Expressway, or about 15 minutes from Chiyoda IC. By bus, take the highway bus bound for Miyoshi/Shobara from Hiroshima Bus Center (about 60 minutes), get off at "Kousoku Midori" bus stop, and use the facility’s free shuttle bus. From Osaka, take the JR Chugoku Bus "Hamadado Express" and get off at "Takata Inter" bus stop, then use the free shuttle bus.
