Rokko Snow Park
Rokko Snow Park is a facility on Mt. Rokko in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture. It originally opened as Japan’s first artificial-snow ski slope and was long known as the “Rokko Artificial Ski Resort,” but in 2014, marking its 50th season, it was renewed and rebranded as “Rokko Snow Park,” a snow theme park where visitors can enjoy a wide range of snow sports such as skiing and snowboarding. Access is via Kobe City Bus from Hanshin Railway Mikage Station, JR Kobe Line Rokkomichi Station, or Hankyu Railway Rokko Station to the “Rokko Cable-shita” bus stop, then take the Rokko Cable Car, transfer to the Mt. Rokko bus, and get off at the “Rokko Snow Park” bus stop, right nearby. In addition to slopes for skiing and snowboarding, the park also has dedicated areas for sledding and playing in the snow, making it especially recommended for families with small children. The rental lineup for skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and more is extensive, so even beginners can enjoy snow sports without having to bring their own gear. There are also plenty of food options, including items like the “Mt. Rokko piled roast beef bowl” and “Kobe Nagata bokkake yakisoba.”
