Innoshima Ohashi Memorial Park
Innoshima Bridge Memorial Park is a park on Innoshima Island in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. It is a grassy plaza located at the base of the Innoshima Bridge, which connects Innoshima and Mukaishima. Built as a comprehensive park to commemorate the Innoshima Bridge, it includes a rest house and a campground. Near the park is the Ohama-saki Lighthouse, and the Ohama-saki Lighthouse Memorial Museum is located within Innoshima Bridge Memorial Park. Next to the park is Ohama Beach, which becomes lively in summer with families and couples enjoying swimming. There is also the Innoshima Amenity Pool, and its water slide—sliding down from a height of 9 meters while looking out over Setouchi—is especially popular with children. With Chibikko Land and a campground as well, it is designed so you can enjoy the area all day long. In addition, the view of Setouchi × Innoshima Bridge Memorial Park × sunset is spectacular, drawing many professional photographers from across Japan and making it a popular photo spot. Because it can also be crossed by bicycle as part of the Setouchi Sea-Crossing Cycling Route, it is popular for the experience of riding a bike over the sea. To get to Innoshima Bridge Memorial Park, it is about 10 minutes from the Shimanami Kaido "Innoshima Kita IC."
