Bayside Beach Slope
Bayside Beach Saka is an artificial beach and one of the key facilities that make up Minato Oasis Bayside Beach Saka. It is the closest swimming beach to central Hiroshima City, and in summer it becomes lively with many visitors. Along National Route 31, an artificial sandy shoreline stretches for about 1.2 kilometers. The parking lot can accommodate 550 cars, but it becomes paid during the swimming season. Also note that during the swimming season the parking gate closes at 19:00. Outside the swimming season, entry is free at any time, and many people come to watch the sunset. Because it is a relatively new artificial beach, it is clean, with features such as stepped seawalls, making it popular with families. Couples also enjoy it as a driving destination and come to see illuminated bridges while taking in the sea atmosphere. There are convenience stores and hot springs nearby, and various events are also held at Bayside Beach Saka, so be sure to check what’s happening. Bayside Beach Saka is a 1-minute walk from Mizushiri Station on the JR Kure Line. By car, it is about 30 minutes from central Hiroshima City.
