Kyukamura Fuji

Kyukamura Fuji is a hot-spring resort by Lake Tanuki on the western side of Mt. Fuji. Guest rooms in the main building, the restaurant, and the large public bath are all prime seats for viewing Mt. Fuji—allowing you to see the famous “Diamond Fuji” and Mt. Fuji reflected beyond the lake. Rooms come in two types: Western twin rooms and 10-tatami Japanese rooms. On the grounds there are also cottage-style rental villas ideal for families and groups. The 1LDK cottages have lofts and can accommodate up to 6 guests; cottages where you can stay with your dog are also popular. The onsen is the skin-friendly Fuji Tanukiko Onsen, an alkaline simple hot spring that lets you feel the blessings of Mt. Fuji. The nature-rich resort offers three walking courses, hands-on nature programs (“Fureai Shizen-juku”), and rental bicycles, making it easy to enjoy a stay that reflects the seasons. Nearby, activities like buggy trekking and paragliding are also available. Day-use bathing is offered too, so it can be a great stop to refresh after being active.
