Gotemba Kogen Resort Toki No Sumika

Gotemba Kogen Tokinosumika is a large resort complex facing Mt. Fuji head-on. Surrounded by nature, it offers a wide range of facilities including accommodations, natural hot springs, many sports and activity areas, and restaurants. There are seven accommodation options, from hotels and lodges to trendy glamping tent sites. Besides soccer fields, tennis courts, and kids’ play areas, it also has bouldering and MTB courses, letting you get active in the outdoors. The natural hot springs include multiple baths such as open-air baths; relaxing while “borrowing” Mt. Fuji as scenery makes for a great downtime. Inside the Tokinosumika Museum is one of Japan’s largest goldfish aquariums, offering even more ways to enjoy your visit. The illumination event held from autumn through winter is also famous, featuring a massive-scale fountain show that includes Japan’s tallest (150m) fountain. From mid-December to around mid-May, strawberry-picking farms also open, making it a place you can enjoy all day in any season. Access: about a 5-minute drive from JR “Iwanami” Station.
