Shikisai No Oka

Shikisai-no-Oka is a large scenic flower field in Biei, Hokkaido, covering about 7 hectares. From spring through autumn, the landscape of seasonal flowers in full bloom is especially breathtaking, and visitors can enjoy panoramic views of colorful fields. Beyond flowers, the site also includes a farm produce shop, a restaurant, and an alpaca farm. You can interact with alpacas and feed them (for a fee). The produce shop sells items such as croquettes made with vegetables grown at Shikisai-no-Oka, as well as fresh vegetables. In winter, the area becomes a vast snowy landscape, and you can meet alpacas with fluffy winter coats. The winter-only "Snowland" offers activities such as snowmobile rides and snowmobile touring. Snow rafting and sledding are also available, making it a full-day destination not just for couples but also for families. Access is about a 25-minute walk from Bibaushi Station on the JR Furano Line.
