JR Tower

JR Tower Observation Deck T38 is an observation facility located inside the JR Tower complex in Sapporo. From the 38th floor, you can enjoy a 360-degree view over Sapporo from one of the city’s highest vantage points. The night view is especially attractive because you can look down toward the glittering neon of the Susukino area. To the north you can see toward Otaru, to the west you can view mountain ranges, and to the east you can look out toward the Ishikari River area. The observation deck includes a café and a restaurant, making it a recommended spot for couples to enjoy drinks while viewing the night scenery. It is also described as a quieter, lesser-crowded "hidden gem" compared with some other major attractions, making it suitable for people who want to enjoy views in a calmer atmosphere. The souvenir shop "T’ SHOP" sells JR Tower original goods, which are popular among JR fans. A surprising highlight is that the men’s restroom offers a view of the night scenery while you use it. Access is very convenient—about a 5-minute walk from the subway (Namboku/Toho lines) and JR lines, essentially right at Sapporo Station.
